Cigarettes, alcohol, tools and a pick-up truck have been stolen during a spate of raids in Oban.
Thieves targeted a shop, cafe and garage in the town and police are now hunting for a man who may have been pretending to be a workman.
More than £10,000 worth of cigarettes and alcohol were taken from a shop in Benderloch, while more than £100 was taken from a cafe in Barcaldine.
Another shop in the village was targeted but nothing was stolen.
There was also a break-in at a garage in Appin where a black Ford Ranger – registration SY18 ZST – was taken, along with tools and more than £1,000.
Police are keeping an open mind as to whether the thefts are connected, but are keen to speak to a man spotted on CCTV at the time.
He is described as being white, aged between 20-30 and around 6ft tall. As well as the high-vis jacket, he was wearing a skip cap and black snood which partially covered his face.
Detective Constable Alasdair Dewar warned people the culprit would likely try to sell the cigarettes and alcohol, and asked anyone offered the items to report it to police.
The black car remains missing, and police are also asking motorists to check dash-cam footage. Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
